This gypsum specimen displays multiple natural rosette formations, where delicate crystal blades radiate outward to create flower-like patterns across the surface. The clustered starburst structures give the piece a sculptural appearance, with soft earthy tones ranging from sandy beige to warm rose-brown.
These rosettes form when gypsum crystallises in arid environments, often trapping sand within the crystal structure as it grows. Over time, the mineral develops layered “petal” formations that resemble desert roses, making each specimen entirely unique in pattern and structure.
